Manually Installing the Widget

Installing NewzDog desktop alerts on your PC or Mac is really easy. You simply enter a topic of interest and then press the Search the Future button. This will install all of the required components to get you going on Newzdog!

However, if for any reason you prefer to install it manually you can.

Install the Air Frame Work

First of all ensure you have installed the Adobe Widget framework.
This framework is installed from here

Install the Desktop Alerts Widget

Once this simple Adobe Air installation is complete it is now a case of installing the Newzdog Widget. This is very simple now you have the Adobe Air framework installed you just need to run the widget installer this is done by Clicking the Click to Get Widget image below

You will be prompted to open or save this file; Click Open

Then the install Wizard will begin. Please click Install

6. You will be prompted once again to install the Widget, please CLICK Install as shown

7. The installer will ask you where to install the NewZDog Widget. You can accept the default unless you have a reason not to such as a shortage of disk space on your C: drive (Windows).

8. The installer should run. And the NewzDog Widget will be installed and ready to notify you when article or news items of interest are published!
